Eid-ul-Adha 2024 Holidays Announced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has announced the holiday schedule for Eidul Adha 2024. According to the notification issued on Thursday, the Eid holidays will be from June 17 to 19. Since the weekend falls on June 15 and 16, many government employees will enjoy a total of five days off to celebrate Eid.

This announcement brings joy to those working in various government departments, as they prepare for a longer festive break. Eidul Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is a significant Islamic holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to God.

Eid ul Adha 2024 Holidays Sindh Government

Earlier the same day, the Sindh government also declared a three-day holiday for Eidul Adha, from June 17 to 19. This was confirmed by a notification from the Sindh Chief Secretary.

The decision for the Eid holidays follows the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon in Pakistan, as confirmed by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee. He announced that Eidul Azha would be celebrated on June 17, making June 8 the first day of Zil Hajj, the last month of the Islamic calendar.

With the confirmed moon sighting and the holiday schedules set, families in KP and Sindh can look forward to a time of celebration and togetherness. The extended break will allow people to travel, visit relatives, and observe the traditional rituals of Eidul Adha.
