The meeting regarding Eid moon sighting 2022 in India was held today. The National Moon Sighting Committee of India announced the date of Eid ul Fitr 2022. NMSC India took the decision after observing no evidence of the new moon.

India?s Ruet-e-Hilal committee members gather on Saturday after maghrib i.e. evening prayers to sight the crescent moon for the month of Shawwal. However, the zonal committees also schedule meetings in their respective areas.
This year, 30 fasts have observed in Ramadan. Earlier, the Ruet e Hilal Committee had asked the people to inform them if they find any evidence regarding the sighting of the Eid ul Fitr moon in India.
