Three high-quality wide-body jets will be joining the PIA fleet very shortly. On Monday, the PIA hosted a high-level meeting in Islamabad chaired by Federal Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
The meeting was attended by the chief executive officer, chief commercial officer, chief human resource officer, and chief financial officer.
The minister directed the creation of cheap deals for Skardu, Gilgit, Chitral, and Hunza in order to boost tourism. The minister instructed the staff to focus on improving the flying schedule. He also instructed PIA to rearrange winter flights from Karachi and Lahore to Skardu.
The minister also issued an order to consider joint planning with operators of small commercial jet aircraft. The review of ATR ship concerns submitted to the Pakistan Navy was also discussed.
