The first Hajj flight carrying 113 Pakistani pilgrims from Saudi Arabia landed at Faisalabad International Airport on Sunday night. The pilgrims were welcomed by airport officials and relatives. They expressed their gratitude to Allah for completing the sacred journey and prayed for peace and prosperity in Pakistan.
The pilgrims were among the 160,000 Pakistanis who performed Hajj this year, the largest annual religious gathering of Muslims. Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and a once-in-a-lifetime duty for all able-bodied Muslims who can afford it.
The pilgrims shared their experiences of performing Hajj. They said they faced some difficulties due to the hot weather, but they also praised the arrangements made by the Saudi government and the Pakistani mission.
They said they performed the rituals of Hajj according to the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which included circling the Kaaba seven times, walking or running between the hills of Safa and Marwa seven times, staying at Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, pelting stones at Jamarat, sacrificing animals, shaving or cutting their hair, and visiting the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
Further, they shared that they felt spiritually uplifted and purified by performing Hajj, which is meant to cleanse them of their sins and bring them closer to Allah. They said they also prayed for the unity and solidarity of the Muslim Ummah and for the resolution of the Kashmir issue.
