In a significant development, the Sindh education department unveiled the academic calendar for the upcoming year, maintaining the established winter and summer vacation schedule. The announcement, made by the spokesperson of the education department after a sub-committee meeting chaired by the caretaker provincial education minister, Rana Hussain, outlines key dates and decisions for the academic year ahead.
The educational journey for schools across the province is scheduled to recommence on April 15, 2024, aligning seamlessly with the previous academic calendar. Meanwhile, colleges will initiate their academic activities from August 1.
This decision, a result of meticulous deliberation in the sub-committee meeting, aims to ensure a seamless start to the academic sessions. Matriculation exams are slated for the first week of May, followed by intermediate exams in the last week of May.
To add further efficiency to the process, the spokesperson confirmed that matriculation exam results will be declared by July 31. Subsequently, the results for intermediate exams will be announced in the second week of August. This strategic timeline is designed to streamline the examination process, facilitating timely academic planning for students and educators alike. The move reflects a commitment to providing a structured and well-planned academic experience for all stakeholders involved.
