In a recent development, the province of Sindh in Pakistan has announced that the upcoming academic year for schools will officially commence on April 15. This decision stems from a meeting conducted under the leadership of Rana Hussain, the Provincial Minister for Education, and falls within the directives of the Sindh Education Steering Committee.
The committee, during its session, deliberated on key aspects such as the academic year initiation, examination schedules, holiday structures, and various other crucial decisions. It was collectively decided that schools across Sindh will usher in the new academic session starting April 15, with colleges following suit on August 1.
Schools throughout the region will initiate the academic year on April 15, while colleges will resume classes from August 1. The existing schedule for winter and summer vacations will remain unchanged. Matriculation exams are slated to begin in the first week of May, with intermediate exams scheduled for the last week of May.
Keeping the timeline in mind, matriculation exam results are anticipated to be announced by July 31, followed by intermediate results in the second week of August. Furthermore, a noteworthy decision made during the meeting includes a 15-day training session for teachers during the summer break.
