The sales of tractors in the country have witnessed a significant year-on-year increase in the first four months of the current financial year. According to data from the All Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association, from July to October, the country recorded 7,105 units of AGTL and 10,191 units of MTL tractors, marking a remarkable 56% and 117% increase, respectively, compared to the same period in the previous financial year.
In the corresponding period of the last financial year, the country saw the sale of 4,561 units of AGTL and 4,697 units of MTL tractors. Notably, in October alone, 2,202 units of AGTL and 3,004 units of MTL were sold, representing a marginal 5% and 4% decrease from September, respectively. This surge in tractor sales reflects a robust growth trend, signaling positive momentum in the agricultural machinery sector.
Farmers and agricultural stakeholders are responding positively to the increased availability and adoption of AGTL and MTL tractors, driven by advancements in technology and enhanced features. The substantial year-on-year growth is indicative of a thriving agricultural machinery market, contributing to the overall economic development of the country.
