In a bid to enhance public transportation, Quetta initiated its Green Bus service project four months ago. However, despite announcements, the project has encountered obstacles, leaving passengers in distress.
The key issue revolves around the fact that, as per reports, only eight buses are currently operational on a single route. This limitation has resulted in a surge in demand, causing severe inconvenience for commuters.
The anticipated expansion of the Green Bus fleet to alleviate passenger distress has not materialized. Neither has there been an augmentation in the number of buses on existing routes nor the introduction of new buses on additional routes.
The situation calls for urgent attention and resolution to ensure the success of the Green Bus service project and provide Quetta residents with a reliable and efficient public transportation system. Stakeholders are urged to address these challenges promptly for the benefit of the community.
