Punjab Schools Winter Vacations Extended: The Punjab government has decided to extend winter vacations in Lahore and other cities of the province until January 9. The decision was made during a cabinet meeting chaired by the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi. An official notification from the Punjab government regarding the extension of winter vacations in 2024 is expected to be issued soon.
The extension of winter holidays in Punjab, including cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala, comes in response to the prevailing smog and adverse weather conditions in the region. The extreme cold conditions have prompted parents to request an extension of the holidays.
Amidst concerns and speculations circulating on social media during the past week, it has now been officially confirmed that winter holidays, which began on December 18 in Punjab, will continue until January 9. Students and parents can now plan accordingly, knowing that the break has been extended due to the ongoing challenging weather conditions in the province.
