Matric Exams 2024 Postponed – In response to the religious significance of Ramadan, the annual 9th and 10th class examinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for the year 2024 have been postponed by a month. The decision, announced by the Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar, shifts the commencement of exams from the initially scheduled date of March 14 to April 18.
The alteration in the examination schedule was made following careful consideration of requests from students and parents who emphasized the importance of accommodating the holy month of Ramadan. A meeting of the chairmen of all boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa unanimously agreed upon this adjustment.
While the Matric exams 2024 in KP will now start on April 18, the Punjab boards have affirmed their schedule with the 10th class exams commencing on March 1 and the 9th class exams starting from March 19, according to the approved tentative date sheet by the committee of chairmen of Punjab boards.
This decision aims to provide students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with a conducive environment for their examinations during Ramadan, acknowledging the religious sentiments of the community. Meanwhile, Punjab boards maintain their original schedule, ensuring minimal disruption to the academic calendar.
