In a heartwarming initiative, Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori has unveiled a plan to provide refurbished motorcycles to individuals who experienced the unfortunate loss of their two-wheelers during the months of October, November, and December 2023. This generous announcement was made during a press conference held at the Governor’s House on Monday, where Governor Tessori emphasized the inclusive nature of the initiative by extending the support to the owners of stolen bikes throughout Sindh, with a particular focus on Karachi. The event also witnessed the presence of Zafar Abbas from JDC, who actively participated in the press conference.
Governor Tessori empathetically acknowledged the financial challenges faced by those who had their motorcycles stolen, especially in Karachi. He disclosed that many individuals in the city are in a precarious financial state, unable to afford a replacement for their lost motorbikes. To alleviate their distress, Governor Tessori announced not only the distribution of reconditioned motorcycles but also the provision of touch mobile phones for those who find themselves without this essential device.
Undertaking this commendable task requires substantial funds, and Governor Tessori expressed gratitude for the support extended by JDC and Saylani in this noble endeavor. Clarifying the scope of his authority after the 18th amendment, Governor Tessori mentioned that entities like CPLC, universities, and law and order no longer fall under the jurisdiction of the Governor of Sindh. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of Zafar Abbas’s team, which successfully acquired 73 motorcycles from the market.
Responding to inquiries, Governor Tessori shared uplifting news for individuals pursuing IT courses, assuring them of job opportunities with salaries reaching up to USD 15,000. In the initial phase of this benevolent project, the Governor announced the distribution of 2,000 motorcycles to victims of stolen bikes, marking a significant step towards restoring normalcy for those affected by such unfortunate incidents.
This initiative not only addresses a pressing need but also showcases the commitment of the Sindh government to the well-being of its citizens.
