Punjab School Timings – In response to the prevailing harsh winter weather, both public and private schools in Punjab have decided to extend their winter timings until January 31, 2024. The initial extension, which was set to conclude on January 23, has been prolonged to ensure the safety and well-being of students across the province.
Starting at 09:30 am in the morning, schools in Punjab will continue to operate on this adjusted schedule until the end of January. However, beginning February 1st, schools will revert to their regular timings.
It’s important to note that there will be no further extension in winter vacations for nursery and prep students. The previously extended vacation period, until January 19, remains unchanged according to the notification issued on January 10.
The notification also highlights that assemblies and all outdoor activities in schools will remain suspended until January 31, 2024, in adherence to safety precautions.
