Karachi Red Bus R-12 Route – In a groundbreaking move to address the mobility challenges faced by Karachi’s residents, the Sindh government proudly presents the “Peoples Bus Service.” This initiative aims to revolutionize public transportation, offering efficient and accessible transit options for the city’s populace.
Affordable Travel with Red Buses
The People’s Bus Service introduces air-conditioned red buses, each accommodating around 40 passengers with dedicated spaces for women. With an affordable fare of PKR 50 for most routes, public transportation becomes a cost-effective choice for all. For Route 9, extending beyond Malir Halt, the fare is PKR 100, catering to the diverse needs of Karachi’s residents.
Operating daily from 7 am to 10 pm, the Peoples Bus Service ensures a reliable means of transportation throughout the day. With buses maintaining a 15-minute headway during peak hours and extending it to only 30 minutes during off-peak times, commuters can plan their journeys efficiently, minimizing waiting times and providing a dependable mode of transport.
R-12 Route : A 35km Lifeline
The highlight of the Peoples Bus Service is the introduction of Route R-12, a 35km lifeline connecting key city locations from Khokhrapar to Sardar Lucky Star. The Red Bus R-12 route passes through essential stops including Khokhrapar, Saudabad, Kala Board, Quaidabad, Landhi, Korangi, Qayumabad, FTC, and Saddar Lucky Star, providing improved connectivity and convenience.
