In preparation for the upcoming general election of 2024, Rangers teamed up with the Pakistan Army and Sindh Police to ensure the safety and security of voters across Sindh. A joint flag march, aimed at bolstering security measures, was conducted in various key areas of Karachi.
According to a spokesperson for the Rangers, stringent security arrangements have been put in place across Sindh in anticipation of the forthcoming general election. The collaborative flag march, symbolizing unity and vigilance, spanned multiple locations including Super Highway, North Nazimabad, Surjani Town, and more, covering both urban and rural areas.
Not limited to Karachi alone, the joint operation extended its reach to cities such as Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Dadu, Mirpurkhas, and beyond, ensuring comprehensive coverage across the province. The thoroughness of the initiative underscores the commitment of security forces to uphold peace and stability during the electoral process.
With the General Elections scheduled for tomorrow, political parties and independent candidates have wrapped up their campaign activities nationwide. The Election Commission has finalized all logistical arrangements, with a staggering 90,675 polling stations established across the country.
A total of 5,121 candidates are vying for seats in the National Assembly, while 12,695 contenders are contesting for positions in the four provincial assemblies. The significant participation reflects the democratic fervor within the nation, as well as the diversity of voices seeking representation.
