600 Professionals Secure International Jobs Through Govt Initiative

Historic Milestone: 600 Pakistani Professionals Begin International Careers under Groundbreaking Government Initiative

In a groundbreaking move towards global employment opportunities, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has successfully facilitated the departure of the first batch of 600 Pakistani professionals for international jobs. Spearheaded by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Jawad Sohrab Malik, this achievement comes just 90 days after strategic employment agreements were sign with global partners.

The initiative signals Pakistan’s commitment to expanding its workforce’s global reach and set to unlock diverse job avenues across various sectors. Meanwhile, major cities such as Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar have seen professionals express gratitude for the seamless process facilitated by the government.

Malik, personally overseeing the departure of Islamabad’s contingent, highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting the aspirations of its citizens. However, the success of the initiative measured not only by the number of job placements but also by the remarkably swift execution timeline, from agreement signings to workforce deployment, all within the 90-day window.

The initial 600 professionals represent just the beginning, with expectations of a significant increase as global employers continue regular interviews and candidate selections. Candidates selected through the Government’s Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) and private Overseas Employment promoters are part of this initiative, showcasing a collaborative effort.

With 50 international agreements leading to over 10,000 interviews, the initiative has resulted in the selection of 600 candidates ready to showcase Pakistan’s skilled workforce globally. The synergy between the public and private sectors has been crucial. Licenses issued to private Overseas Employment Promoters, expanding opportunities for Pakistanis in the international job market.
