The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted partly cloudy skies and a chance of light rain in Karachi and parts of Sindh for Monday evening/night and Tuesday.
According to the PMD, a shallow westerly wave is currently prevailing over most regions of Pakistan, setting the stage for potential weather changes.
Anticipated conditions suggest that areas including Dadu, Sanghar, and Karachi, along with their surroundings, may experience partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain or drizzle on Monday evening/night. On Tuesday, Karachi and its adjacent regions might witness light rain, drizzle, and possibly thunderstorms. Conversely, the rest of the province is expected to have predominantly cold and dry weather.
Temperatures are expected to dip in Karachi, with minimums ranging between 14-16 degrees Celsius on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Similarly, Hyderabad is also likely to experience minimum temperatures within the same range during these days.
Recent weather observations indicate varying intensities of rainfall across Sindh, including Karachi, in the last 24 hours. Notably, Mithi emerged as the coldest location in the province, recording a temperature drop to 07 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity during the morning hours was noted at 72 percent in Mithi.
In Karachi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 16 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of 49 percent during the morning. Likewise, Hyderabad registered a minimum temperature of 16 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of 48 percent in the morning.
