In a bid to optimize the education system, the Punjab Education Department has recently announced revised school timings for both public and private schools across the province, effective from February 1 to April 15.
Boys’ Schools Schedule:
Boys’ schools will now open at 8:30 am and conclude at 2:30 pm on weekdays. Additionally, these schools will observe a break from 12:15 pm.
Girls’ Schools Schedule:
For girls’ schools, the new timings set from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm, with a midday break at 12:00 pm.
Two-Shift Schools:
Schools operating in two shifts will have the first shift running from 8:00 am to 12:15 pm, and the second shift commencing at 12:30 pm and concluding at 5:00 pm.
This adjustment in timings aims to streamline the daily schedules of students and educators, ensuring a conducive learning environment. The decision comes after considering various factors, including the well-being of students and weather conditions.
Earlier in January, the education department had extended the previously notified school timings for the winter season until January 31, 2024. The latest announcement underscores the department’s commitment to providing an effective and organized learning experience for students across Lahore.
