In an unexpected turn of events, Kia Pakistan has announced a price reduction for its popular crossover SUV, the Kia Sportage. The revised prices, applicable from March 4, 2024, span across all four variants of the vehicle.
KIA Sportage All Variants Price in Pakistan:
- Sportage Alpha: The base variant sees a price cut of Rs. 250,000, bringing it down to Rs. 7,300,000 from the previous Rs. 7,550,000.
- Sportage FWD: The price has been reduced by Rs. 300,000, making it Rs. 7,740,000, down from Rs. 8,040,000.
- Sportage AWD: The new price stands at Rs. 8,470,000, a reduction of Rs. 300,000 from the earlier Rs. 8,770,000.
- Sportage Black Edition: This variant will now cost Rs. 9,000,000, down Rs. 300,000 from the previous Rs. 9,300,000.
The prices for the rest of the Kia lineup remain unchanged.
Bookings for the Sportage Alpha are open with partial payment, while the other three variants require full payment at the time of booking.
The price drop could be attributed to the sluggish local auto market, possibly due to economic and political uncertainties. Like its competitors, Kia Pakistan has been offering various incentives, including installment plans, cashback offers, and free registration. The Sportage, being Kia Pakistan’s best-selling model, could see a sales boost with this price reduction.
Contrary to expectations of a price hike following last week’s announcement, Kia Pakistan has pleasantly surprised its customers with this decision. This move is likely to attract more customers and boost the company’s sales.
