Ramadan 2024 Moon Sighted in Qatar: 1st Ramadan on 11th March

An official statement has confirmed the sighting of the Ramadan 2024 moon in Qatar, heralding the arrival of the holy month. The Supreme Court in Qatar officially announced that the crescent moon for Ramadan has been sighted during a meeting held today. As a result, the 1st day of Ramadan in Qatar will fall on the 11th of March 2024.

The Hilal sighting committee, in collaboration with civilians, actively participated in the moon-sighting process. Today marks the 29th date of the current Islamic month of Shaban, with Saturday being the last day of the 8th Islamic month, Shaban, in the Hijri Calendar. Tarawih prayers will commence tonight, and the fasting for Ramadan will begin tomorrow, on the 11th of March.

Ramadan is a sacred month for Muslims, who observe fasting from dawn to dusk. It is a time of reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth, with every good deed believed to be rewarded by Allah with an increase of 70 times.
