Ramadan Moon Sighted in Pakistan: Fasting to Begin Tomorrow

In a significant development, the Ramadan moon has been sighted across Pakistan, including Lahore and Peshawar. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, convened in Peshawar at the Awqaf Hall on Charsadda Road to formally announce the commencement of fasting starting tomorrow.

During the meeting, committee members, joined by representatives from the Meteorological Department, SPARCO, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, engaged in discussions to determine the sighting of the crescent moon for Ramadan. The official announcement by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is expected shortly.Simultaneously, a separate meeting of the Non-Governmental Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, headed by Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai, is taking place at Qasim Ali Khan Mosque.

While the Ramadan moon has already been sighted in Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, triggering the commencement of fasting, East Asian and Oceania states are eagerly awaiting the first sighting, with fasting scheduled to begin on March 12.Stay tuned for more updates on this auspicious occasion.
