Pakistan Petrol Prices Down: Expected Rs. 5 Decrease Effective March 16th

In a move that’s set to bring relief to consumers, Pakistan’s recently established federal government is gearing up to announce revised fuel prices for the latter half of March 2024.

The new pricing structure, scheduled to be unveiled on the evening of March 15, is anticipated to bring down the cost of petrol by Rs5, setting the new price at Rs274.61 per litre. Similarly, diesel prices are expected to see a reduction of Rs4.81, bringing the cost down to Rs283.12 per litre. These revised prices will be effective from March 16, 2024.

This anticipated reduction in fuel prices aligns with the current downward trend observed in the international market, where Brent crude futures have seen a 0.4% drop to $81.82 per barrel.

As it stands now, the per litre price of petrol is Rs279.62, while high-speed diesel is priced at Rs287.33.
