In anticipation of the grandeur of the March 23 parade, Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has rolled out a comprehensive traffic management plan. The plan, which is in effect on the parade day and during full rehearsals, restricts heavy traffic entry from midnight to 2:00 p.m. on March 17, 19, 21, and 23.
Motorists traveling from Lahore are advised to use the GT Road, starting from Rawalpindi Saddar Road, leading to Peshawar GT Road and the Motorway. For those journeying from Koral Chowk and Rawalpindi, the recommended route is via Khanna Pul, Lehtrar Road, and Park Road. Light traffic has the option to divert from Kashmir Chowk towards Bahara Kahu and Murree.
During the parade, all traffic will be barred from Faizabad, ensuring smooth conduct of the event. The National Day Joint Services Parade, a spectacle of national pride, will take center stage at the Parade Ground in Islamabad on March 23.
This day holds a special place in the hearts of Pakistanis as it commemorates the signing of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940. As such, it is celebrated as a national public holiday across the country, reflecting the spirit of unity and national identity.
