In a landmark move, Punjab’s government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has unveiled an ambitious housing scheme. This initiative aims to bridge the housing gap for low-income residents, marking a significant stride towards social equity.
The project envisages the construction of a whopping 100,000 houses across the province, addressing the pressing housing needs of underprivileged communities.
A recent high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister delved into the project’s progress. The Board of Revenue showcased a roster of 17 potential development sites, set for further scrutiny.
Understanding the project’s criticality, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz instructed swift site selection in five key cities: Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Rawalpindi.
She underscored the importance of accessibility, advocating for locations that offer convenience to residents. “A home is a fundamental necessity for every family,” asserted Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, underscoring the government’s pledge to make homeownership a reality for low-income earners.
