In a significant development, the Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, has highlighted the possibility of Eid-ul-Fitr moon sighting on the 29th of Shaban based on scientific calculations.
According to scientific projections, Eid-ul-Fitr could potentially be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10th, in Pakistan. This revelation comes as Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad hinted at seeking scientific cooperation to ensure an accurate sighting of the Shawwal moon.
Speaking on the matter, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad explained that scientific analysis suggests the moon’s age would be approximately twenty hours, with an angle of 10 degrees, making it conducive for visibility.
While acknowledging the expertise of scientific professionals like Fawad Chaudhry, the Chairman emphasized that the final decision regarding Eid-ul-Fitr moon sighting will be made in accordance with Islamic teachings and testimonies.
If the Ramadan moon is indeed sighted on the 29th, it could lead to Eid-ul-Fitr being observed on Wednesday, April 10th, aligning with both scientific calculations and religious practices.
