In light of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr 2024, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has unveiled its holiday schedule. The central bank will hit the pause button on its operations from April 10 to 12, aligning with the nation’s celebratory spirit.
The bank’s closure will extend over the weekend, with Saturday and Sunday being the regular weekly offs. Consequently, banking activities are set to spring back into action from April 15, Monday.
The official press release confirms, “In observance of Eid-ul-Fitr, the State Bank of Pakistan will cease operations from April 10 to 12, 2024 (Wednesday to Friday).”
Earlier in the day, the federal government rolled out a four-day public holiday notification for Eid-ul-Fitr 2024. The Cabinet Division’s circular highlighted the Prime Minister’s approval of the public holidays.
The notification further clarified that offices operating five days a week would observe holidays from April 10 to 12. Meanwhile, those functioning six days a week would extend their break until April 13. This move ensures that all sectors join in the nationwide festivities of Eid-ul-Fitr 2024.
