Karachi, the city of lights, is currently experiencing a weather shift. The city’s skies are filled with thunder and lightning, painting a dramatic picture. Weather expert Jawad Memon has confirmed this meteorological phenomenon, urging Karachiites to exercise caution.
The weather forecast predicts intermittent showers to persist until tonight. The rainfall intensity will vary, with most areas experiencing light to moderate showers. However, brief periods of heavy downpour are not ruled out.
The thunderstorm has already made its presence felt across the city. Areas such as Malir Halt, Rafa-e-Aam, North Karachi, Nagan Chowrangi, North Nazimabad, Federal B Area, II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Soldier Bazaar, Clifton, and the Airport have reported rain accompanied by intense thunder and lightning.
In response to the weather conditions, the Karachi Traffic Police have sprung into action. They are on high alert to prevent any mishaps during the rainfall. They have also issued an advisory for motorists, urging them to reduce their speed to avoid accidents due to slippery roads.
