The Pink Bus service, a unique initiative by the Sindh Government, is revolutionizing women’s transportation in Karachi. This women-centric transport project, the first of its kind in Pakistan, is now fully operational and providing reliable transport to women on five different routes.
Pink Bus Karachi Routes:
Route 1:
Starting from Model Colony, this route passes through landmarks like Nata Khan Bridge, Drigh Road Station, PAF Base Faisal, Laal Kothi, Karsaz, Nursery, FTC, Regent Plaza, JPMC, Cant Station, Metropole, Regal Chowk, Aram Bagh, and ends at II Chundrigar Road.
Route 2:
This route begins from North Karachi and ends at Korangi, passing through Nagan Chowrangi, Johar Mour, COD, Drig Road, Shahrah e Faisal, Shah Faisal colony, Singer Chowrangi, and Korangi No 5.
Route 10:
Starting from Numaish Chowrangi, this route passes through M.A Jinnah Road, Zaibunnisa Street, Metropole, Do Talwar, Teen Talwar, Mazar e Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Dolmen Mall, and ends at Sea View Clock Tower.
Pink Bus Karachi New Routes
In a recent development, the Sindh Government has introduced two new routes, R3 and R9, for the Pink Bus service. These new routes aim to further improve women’s access to safe and reliable transportation.
Pink Bus Karachi Timings and Fare
The Pink Bus service operates from 7 am to 10 pm daily. During peak commute times, a bus arrives at each stop every 20 minutes. The minimum ticket price for each route is PKR 50 per person.
