In a striking display of solidarity with her police force, Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, graced a police graduation ceremony in Lahore. Dressed in a police uniform, she stood shoulder to shoulder with the men and women dedicated to maintaining law and order.
The event, held at the Police Training College, saw Nawaz inspecting the parade as the chief guest. She also had the honor of presenting awards to the standout performers, a testament to their hard work and dedication.
During her address, Nawaz emphasized her administration’s commitment to bolstering the presence of women in the police force. Donning the uniform, she confessed, made her realize the magnitude of the responsibility that comes with it.
She commended the women officers present, expressing hope that they would continue to serve the public diligently. Nawaz stressed the crucial role of law enforcement in society, stating that societal progress hinges on the effective implementation of law and order.
Accompanying her at the event was IG Punjab, Usman Anwar. The ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the government’s support for its law enforcement agencies and its commitment to public service.
