In a significant move to bolster public transportation in Karachi, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has pledged the provision of 150 buses. This announcement was made during his maiden visit to the city.
The decision came to light in a high-profile meeting following a request from Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Sindh Minister for Transport. Memon had initially requested 300 buses for the city of Karachi.
Despite the initial request, the Prime Minister confirmed that the federal government would contribute 150 buses. These buses will be incorporated into the existing fleet managed by the Sindh transport department.
During his visit, Prime Minister Shahbaz lauded the Sindh government’s efforts to improve public transportation services. This gesture underscores the federal government’s commitment to enhancing the commuting experience for the citizens of Karachi.
