In a bid to bolster tourism, the Sindh government has unveiled an exciting new initiative: tourist train services. These services aim to facilitate the exploration of the province’s rich historical sites.
The train route extends from Karachi to the picturesque Parche-Ji-Veri, renowned for its breathtaking sunset views, with a stopover in Hyderabad. The Sindh tourist train is scheduled to depart from Karachi every Saturday, returning on Sunday, offering citizens a weekend getaway to soak in the scenic beauty of Sindh.
Discussions are underway with Pakistan Railways to ensure the affordability of fares for passengers. This initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to promote Sindh’s cultural heritage and boost tourism, as stated by Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, the Sindh Minister of Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives.
In addition to the train services, a bus service will also be launched in Karachi. This service will take passengers on a tour of the city’s historical landmarks, including the zoo, providing entertainment options for those unable to travel to Naran Kaghan during the summer holidays.
