As per the latest prediction by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Eidul Adha 2024 is expected to fall on June 17 (Monday). The PMD’s Climate Data Processing Centre has forecasted that the crescent moon for Dhul-Hijjah will be born on June 6 at 5:38 PM.
Eidul Adha Moon Sighting Details
The PMD has stated that the age of the moon in Karachi at sunset on June 6 will be 26 hours and 8 minutes. Furthermore, the moon is expected to be visible for 72 minutes after sunset. However, the final decision regarding the moon sighting will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Eidul Adha 2024 Holidays in Pakistan
According to the 2024 holiday calendar, the Eidul Adha holidays in Pakistan will be observed from June 17 to June 19. Given that June 15 and 16 are a Saturday and Sunday, respectively, most government offices will be closed, effectively starting the holiday period from June 15.
If Eidul Adha falls on June 18 instead of June 17, it is anticipated that the holiday schedule will be revised accordingly. The federal government will issue an official notification regarding the Eidul Adha 2024 holidays a few days prior to the event.
