GAZA Million March Karachi: Record-Breaking Protest Held on Shahrah-e-Faisal Despite Scorching Heatwave

Under the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami, “Gaza Million March” saw an overwhelming response at Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. Despite the sweltering heat, a diverse crowd gathered, demonstrating unwavering support for Palestinian Muslims and Hamas against perceived American and Israeli actions. The event, a significant display of solidarity, attracted men, women, children, the elderly, and youth from all walks of life.

Participants vehemently condemned Israel’s bombing at the Rafah border and the ongoing violence in Gaza, defying international court decisions and UN resolutions. The march extended from the Nursery bus stop, revealing a sea of supporters. The disciplined crowd had designated lanes for men and women, ensuring order during the massive gathering.

National and international media hailed the Gaza Million March as one of the largest protests seen in Karachi. Attendees arrived in processions, using buses, vans, trucks, cars, and motorcycles. Al-Khidmat Karachi facilitated the event with medical camps and mobile dispensaries, ensuring participants’ well-being.

A stage erected above the Nursery bus stop overpass served as the focal point for speeches by Jamaat-e-Islami leaders. Symbolically, some participants carried replicas of Palestinian children’s bodies, highlighting the plight of Gaza’s youngest victims. The march, led by Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Munim Zafar Khan, started at Baloch Jason Tower, with notable participation from Karachi’s Christian community under Yunus Sohan, president of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Minority Wing.
