Islamabad Prepares for Eid-ul-Azha with Five Designated Cattle Markets

In preparation for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has announced the establishment of five cattle markets across the Federal Capital. This decision, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon, aims to facilitate a smooth and organized cattle trading experience for both traders and citizens.

Five Locations for Cow Mandi in Islamabad

Starting June 6, these cattle markets will be operational at the following designated locations:

  1. Sultana Foundation
  2. Zia Mosque
  3. Barakahu
  4. I-14
  5. Margalla Avenue

These locations were selected to ensure accessibility and convenience for residents across Islamabad. The district administration, along with the District Management Authority (DMA), Livestock Department, and Traffic Police, will oversee the arrangements to maintain order and efficiency.

Focus on Cleanliness and Comfort

DC Memon highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness in these markets. Special arrangements are being made to ensure the comfort of both traders and visitors. Key features of the markets include:

  • Shaded areas to protect against the summer heat
  • A clean water supply for the animals
  • Regular maintenance to ensure hygienic conditions

Strict Trading Regulations

To ensure orderly operations, the sale and purchase of cattle will strictly regulated. Trading outside the designated areas prohibited, and DC Memon has warned that violations will result in action against both buyers and sellers.

Aiming for a Smooth Experience

“With these measures, the administration aims to ensure a smooth and orderly Eid-ul-Azha cattle market experience for everyone involved,” said the spokesman for the ICT Administration.

The comprehensive plan reflects the administration’s commitment to providing a safe and convenient environment for the festive season. By centralizing the cattle markets, the administration hopes to minimize traffic disruptions and enhance the overall experience for the residents of Islamabad.

As the markets open on June 6, residents encouraged to visit the designated locations for their cattle purchases and contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of these markets.
