Government Hajj Scheme 2024: Pilgrims to Receive Zamzam Water at Airports

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has detailed new plans to distribute Zamzam water to pilgrims returning to Pakistan under the government scheme. This holy water, cherished by Muslims worldwide, will be provided to those flying back to Pakistan on select airlines.

An agreement has been reached with four airlines—Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Saudi Airlines, SereneAir, and AirSial—to assist in the collection of Zamzam water at designated points. Pilgrims are instructed to pick up their Zamzam water at the respective airports and check it in with their luggage.

For those flying with PIA, the arrangements are specific. Pilgrims, except for those departing from Quetta and Sukkur, will gather their Zamzam water at Jeddah and Madina airports. This streamlined process ensures that pilgrims can receive their holy water without any hassle.

This initiative underscores the ministry’s commitment to facilitating a smooth and sacred journey for pilgrims. The availability of Zamzam water symbolizes a significant aspect of the Hajj and Umrah experience, offering a spiritual connection to one of Islam’s holiest sites.
