The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for Karachi as the city braces for another day of scorching heat. Due to the sudden halt in the sea breeze, the heat intensity is expected to rise significantly. In the next 24 hours, Karachi’s weather will remain hot and humid, causing discomfort for residents.
Hot winds from Balochistan will persist throughout the day, blowing from the northwest. This lack of cooling sea breeze will make temperatures feel even higher. However, there is hope that the sea breeze may return by evening, providing some relief to the sweltering city.
Today, the temperature in Karachi is predicted to soar between 38 to 40 degrees Celsius. The early morning recorded a minimum temperature of 30.5 degrees Celsius, coupled with a high humidity level of 76%, intensifying the discomfort.
As Karachiites prepare to endure another day of oppressive heat, it’s crucial to stay hydrated and avoid direct sunlight. The possibility of sea breezes returning later today offers a glimmer of hope for some respite from the relentless heatwave.
