The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has announced its summer vacation, starting from July 10 and continuing until September 10. This two-month break was officially communicated by the Registrar’s Office through a notification. In parallel, the district courts of Islamabad will also be observing a vacation, but for a shorter duration from August 1 to August 31.
The notifications for both the IHC and the district courts were approved by the Chief Justice, confirming the holiday schedules. During this period, the IHC will remain closed for regular court activities, but it will not be entirely inactive. The court will still handle urgent cases, including bail hearings, stay orders, and other emergency matters, ensuring that essential legal processes are not delayed.
This announcement marks a significant period for the legal community in Islamabad, providing a much-needed break for many. The summer vacation at the IHC and the district courts aligns with the tradition of giving the judiciary a respite during the hotter months.
