The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government announced a salary increase for its employees on Thursday. The new budget includes a 10% raise for KP government workers up to grade 16, with those in higher grades seeing a 25% boost. Employees up to grade 17 will get a 20% salary hike. Additionally, there will be a 10% increase in pensions.
Financial Adviser to KP Chief Minister, Muzzammil Aslam, stated that the federal government had previously announced a 25% raise for grades one to 16 and a 20% raise for higher grades, along with a 15% pension increase. The KP cabinet has now approved these raises to match the federal government’s decision.
