The new eco-friendly EV-4 electric bus route from Bahria Town to Numaish Chowrangi has been launched. The inauguration ceremony saw participation from Sindh Assembly members Raja Abdul Razzaq and Sajid Jokhio of the Pakistan Peoples Party, along with Bahria Town’s General Manager, Brigadier (Retd.) Khalid Mahmood.
This new route stretches over 55 kilometers and will feature 12 electric buses. The introduction of the EV-4 route is expected to provide a significant boost to public transport in the area, offering a green and efficient travel option for residents.
Passengers from various localities such as Bahria Town, Dumba Goth, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Sohrab Goth, Al-Asif Square, Yousuf Plaza, Water Pump, Ayesha Manzil, Liaquatabad, Teen Hatti, Jahangir Road, Guru Mandir, and Numaish will benefit from this new service. The electric buses promise a cleaner, more sustainable mode of transportation, reducing the carbon footprint and providing a comfortable ride.
The EV-4 route is part of a broader initiative to modernize public transportation in Karachi, aiming to make daily commutes more convenient and eco-friendly. The use of electric buses marks a significant step towards reducing pollution and promoting sustainability in urban transit.
