Jamaat e Islami Protest in Karachi: Traffic Plan
In response to the protest, traffic police have outlined significant road closures and diversions:
Closure Details: Aiwan-e-Sadar Road will be closed for traffic from 3 PM, specifically from Fawwara Chowk to Gate No. 1 of the Governor House.
Open Routes: Roads from Shaheen Complex to PIDC will remain accessible.
Traffic coming from Metropole will be rerouted away from Ziauddin Road, and vehicles from Arts Council Chowrangi will be redirected to Club Road. There will be increased traffic pressure from Jinnah Bridge towards PIDC.
Alternative Routes for Commuters
To avoid congestion, traffic police recommend using the Sultanabad Traffic Section cut to reach Mai Kolachi and Boat Basin. This will help manage the flow and reduce travel delays during the protest.
