The rain showered various parts of Karachi, including Old Airport area, Jinnah Terminal, DHA, Keamari, Surjani, PAF Masroor Base, and Nazimabad, with rainfall ranging from 1mm to 6mm. The downpour caused rainwater to accumulate in several areas, including M.T. Khan Road, Sultanabad, Hijrat Colony, and Lyari.
The Met Office had earlier predicted torrential monsoon rains in the country from August 1 to 6, and the latest rainfall is a result of this weather system. The rain is expected to continue with occasional gaps until August 6, bringing relief to the city from the scorching heat.
