Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori has unveiled an initiative to provide free solar panels to residents in Sindh who use up to 300 units of electricity. This initiative aimed at supporting low-income individuals and those living in rented accommodations. By focusing on households that consume a limited amount of electricity, the project seeks to alleviate the burden of load shedding and promote the use of renewable energy.
Governor Tesori announced that 9,000 solar panels will distributed in the first phase of the project. These solar panels, which will be provided at no cost, include free installation and supply. The objective is to ensure that eligible residents can access up to 300 units of solar-powered electricity without any financial burden. This move is part of a broader effort to enhance economic empowerment and reduce energy costs for vulnerable communities.
In addition to the solar panel distribution, Governor Tesori emphasized that the Governor’s House is continuously open for the distribution of ration bags. Over the past two years, the Governor House has seen three million visitors, with one million receiving ration bags and 8,000 laptops distributed to youth. Governor Tesori affirmed that the Governor House remains focused on economic development rather than political activities, continuing to serve as a valuable resource for the community.
