Jamaat-e-Islami’s discussions with the government have ended on a positive note. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, has decided to delay the ongoing 14-day sit-in. This decision comes after an agreement was reached, addressing the key demands of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Hafiz Naeem clarified that the sit-in is not being called off but is simply on hold for now. A gathering is scheduled for tomorrow at the sit-in location, where the official announcement regarding the postponement will be made.
He also issued a cautionary statement, stressing that if the government does not follow through on the agreed terms, the sit-in will be resumed immediately. The postponement marks a critical moment in the ongoing negotiations, but the situation remains tense, with the potential for further action if commitments are not met.
