UHS Approves Annual Exam Schedule for MBBS 2024-2025
The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has officially approved the annual examination schedule for MBBS students during its 50th Board of Studies in Medicine meeting, held on Monday. The session, presided over by UHS Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Ahsan Waheed Rathore, included prominent principals from affiliated government and private medical colleges, including the board’s convener, Prof. Dr. Sardar Al-Farid Zafar.
MBBS Annual Exam Schedule 2024-2025
According to the newly approved schedule, the First Professional MBBS annual exams will commence in the last week of December 2024. Following that, the Second Professional MBBS annual exams are scheduled for the last week of January 2025. The Third Professional MBBS annual exams will be held in the third week of December 2024, and the Fourth Professional MBBS exams in the second week of January 2025. The final Professional MBBS annual exams are set to take place in the first week of February 2025.
This schedule was meticulously developed based on feedback from affiliated medical colleges, ensuring alignment with the commencement and conclusion of MBBS classes. A minimum of nine months of the academic year must be completed before students are eligible to sit for their exams, followed by a one-month preparation period.
Key Decisions from the UHS Board Meeting
In addition to approving the exam schedule, the board made several significant decisions. The Supreme Court’s judgment on students failing supplementary exams was emphasized, stating that such students cannot proceed to the next class. Moreover, the identity of external examiners for practical exams will remain confidential, even from the college administration, to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ahsan Waheed Rathore also directed the principals to ensure that the fines policy is clearly published in their respective college prospectuses.
The UHS MBBS annual exam schedule 2024-2025 is now set, providing clarity and direction for medical students across affiliated colleges. Students and faculty are advised to prepare accordingly to meet the academic requirements and stay informed about any further updates from UHS.
