Weather Now: Pakistan Meteorological Department Predicts Rain, Drizzle in Karachi

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted partly cloudy skies accompanied by light rain or drizzle for Karachi and coastal Sindh from Monday night through Tuesday. This weather change is linked to the influence of continental air across most of Pakistan, with a mild westerly wave affecting the northern and western regions.

Residents of Karachi can anticipate light showers and gusty winds, with intermittent breaks throughout Monday night and into Tuesday. The coastal belt will experience similar conditions, while other parts of Sindh will face hot and humid weather.

For Karachi, temperatures are expected to hover between 34°C to 36°C on Tuesday and Wednesday, while Hyderabad is likely to experience higher temperatures, ranging from 37°C to 39°C during the same period.

Recent observations reported that Sukkur recorded the highest temperature in Sindh at 41°C, followed closely by Dadu and Mohenjo-Daro at 40°C. In Karachi, the temperature peaked at 33°C, with a relative humidity of 72% recorded in the evening.
