To ensure transparency during the upcoming medical and dental college entrance tests (MDCAT), mobile phone services will be suspended for four hours near examination centers in Peshawar. The move aims to curb malpractice during the exams.
Commissioner Riaz Mehsud confirmed that a formal request has been sent to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for the temporary suspension of services around exam venues. To further secure the process, jammers will be installed in examination halls, blocking mobile signals completely.
In addition, Section 144 will be enforced, barring unauthorized individuals from loitering near the centers, aiming to prevent any external interference during the exams. This is part of the strict security measures to uphold the fairness of the testing process.
To enhance monitoring, CCTV cameras will be set up inside and outside the examination halls. This will help ensure strict adherence to the rules and record any suspicious activities.
With 19,000 candidates set to appear for the MDCAT across six centers in Peshawar, authorities are committed to maintaining a secure and transparent environment for all.
