A letter from the deputy director of the Public Sale Advertisement and Complaint Section confirmed that the provisional NOC, initially granted on September 19, 2022, has reissued following approval by the SBCA’s director general and legal advisors. This NOC restoration applies to the Bahria Town Karachi Project, which spans 16,896 acres and is based on a layout approved by the Malir Development Authority on June 13, 2022.

The SBCA clarified that while it has reinstated the NOC, it will not held responsible for disputes regarding land ownership or legality, and the certificate could withdrawn if such issues arise.

Financial and Compliance Requirements for Bahria Town Karachi

The reinstatement of the NOC comes with specific conditions. The SBCA’s letter outlined that Bahria Town Karachi must settle an outstanding scrutiny fee of Rs14.44 million, payable in two equal installments. Additionally, the developer required to submit the necessary license within one month. Upon completion of these conditions, Bahria Town Karachi will be eligible to receive the final completion certificate.
