Punjab University has announced the postponement of its on-campus mid-term examinations for another week. This decision comes in response to the ongoing heavy smog conditions in the province, which have made it challenging for students and staff to attend physical classes and exams.
The university’s spokesperson confirmed that the exams, initially scheduled to begin on November 25, will now be held a week later. While the exams have been postponed, university classes will continue as planned, with Head of Departments (HoDs) leading lectures either online, in-person, or in a hybrid format.
Punjab University Exam Postponed
The decision to delay the examinations follows a similar move made by the university last week, when all exams were also postponed by one week due to the severe smog. During this period, the university had shifted all classes to online mode and instructed staff to work from home, ensuring that meetings and administrative tasks were carried out virtually.
Students are advised to stay updated with official announcements from the university regarding the revised exam schedule. The delay aims to prioritize the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff amidst the prevailing air quality concerns.
