The Punjab government has officially announced the winter vacation schedule for schools across the province. Starting from December 20, 2024, all schools will remain closed for a 20-day break, with classes resuming on January 10, 2025. This announcement was confirmed by Punjab Secretary for Schools Khalid Nazir Wattoo on Monday.
While students prepare for their winter break, some students in Rawalpindi faced a sudden change in their exam plans. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi had to postpone the intermediate practical exams scheduled for Monday. This decision came after the federal government declared a public holiday in the twin cities.
Controller Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan clarified that the revised dates for these postponed practical exams would be announced soon. However, he assured that exams in other districts of Punjab, apart from Rawalpindi, would continue as per the original timetable.
These updates have brought a mix of relief and concern among students and parents. While many look forward to the winter break, some in Rawalpindi are now waiting for clarity on their postponed exams. Students and families are advised to stay updated with announcements from BISE Rawalpindi regarding the new exam schedule.
