Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI’s founder, led a group of PTI workers from Chungi No. 26 towards the Red Zone. She claimed that some conspiratorial elements were trying to stop them at a different location instead of D-Chowk. She emphasized that the founder of PTI had instructed her to reach D-Chowk at all costs and that the workers were unwilling to accept any negotiation outcome that fell short of D-Chowk.
While addressing party supporters, Bushra Bibi claimed that certain forces are trying to redirect their march to other locations, but she made it clear that they wouldn’t settle for anything less than D-Chowk. “The founder of PTI has made it clear that we must reach D-Chowk no matter what,” she said, reiterating the unwavering resolve of the workers. According to her, any negotiation that falls short of this demand is unacceptable to the protesters.
Interestingly, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has maintained an unusual silence on the negotiation efforts. This has added to the uncertainty surrounding the government’s response and PTI’s next steps.
Meanwhile, the situation took a grave turn after the tragic loss of four Rangers personnel in a late-night clash with miscreants. Following the incident, the Ministry of Interior issued strict orders to call in the military to maintain law and order in Islamabad. Officials have reportedly instructed security forces to take stringent measures, including a shoot-on-sight order against anyone causing unrest.
With rising tensions, the capital remains on edge as all eyes are on whether Bushra Bibi and her supporters will succeed in reaching their destination or if authorities will escalate their efforts to stop them. This standoff continues to add another chapter to Pakistan’s politically charged atmosphere.
