Where Are Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur Right Now As PTI Protest Called Off?

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur and Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, have taken refuge in Mansehra following the government’s crackdown on the ongoing protest at D-Chowk in Islamabad. Sources confirmed that National Assembly opposition leader Omar Ayub Khan is also with them, adding to the uncertainty surrounding their whereabouts after the authorities dispersed PTI workers.

The trio is expected to address the media in an emergency press conference scheduled for 11 AM at the residence of KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, located at the Justice Secretariat in Mansehra. This comes after hours of confusion about the leaders’ status, leaving many to question their safety.

The situation grew more concerning when Maryam Riaz Wattoo, Bushra’s sister, voiced her fears over her sibling’s abduction. In a video message, Wattoo shared her anxieties about conflicting reports regarding Bushra Bibi’s location. Some claimed she had been arrested, while others suggested she was safely in KP. Wattoo feared her sister might have been abducted, adding to the growing tension.

PTI, which had called for a high-stakes protest in the capital, called off the demonstration after a midnight crackdown by law enforcement agencies. The party also claimed that eight of its workers were killed during the unrest, including names like Anis Shehzad Satti and Malik Mubeen Aurangzeb.

Meanwhile, PTI leaders remain tight-lipped about their next move, stating that the future course of action will depend on guidance from the incarcerated party leader, Imran Khan. Wattoo, in her statement, emphasized that if Bushra Bibi were safe, she would have reached out to her family by now, stressing that Bushra would never abandon the protest or her husband under such conditions.
